Overview
Chosen Tides is a spiritual digital trading card game where players build decks, battle AI and other players, earn XP, and unlock mixed Light and Dark gameplay cards. The game is free to play and does not require a crypto wallet.
Deck Building
Players construct decks from their card collection. Each card belongs to a faction — Light, Dark, or Neutral — and has unique statistics, abilities, and rarity tiers. Deck strategy comes from balancing faith cost, attack, defense, and synergistic abilities.
AI Battles
Battle against AI opponents across multiple difficulty tiers — Disciple, Warrior, Prophet, and Archangel. Each victory earns XP. Meaningful matches (sufficient turns and duration) count toward progression.
PvP
Challenge other players in real-time PvP battles. A coin flip determines who goes first. Both players take turns playing cards, attacking, and managing their board. PvP victories earn bonus XP.
XP Progression
XP is the active progression currency. Every valid match completion grants XP. XP never resets and is never spent. Cumulative XP unlocks Basic Mixed Packs at milestones.
Basic Mixed Packs
Basic Mixed Packs are unlocked through XP milestones. Each pack contains a mix of Light and Dark gameplay cards. These are non-blockchain progression packs — no NFTs, no crypto rewards.
Light and Dark Cards
The card pool includes Light (Holy), Dark (Evil), and Neutral factions. Each faction has its own themes, abilities, and playstyles. Basic Mixed Packs guarantee a minimum of 2 Light and 2 Dark cards per pack.
Current Development Status
Chosen Tides is in active development. The current live features are AI battles, PvP, XP progression, and Basic Mixed Packs. Blockchain features (ALTR rewards, NFT minting, token purchases) are disabled or Coming Soon unless the public Blockchain Status page says otherwise.
Future Digital Ownership Vision
The long-term vision includes optional digital card ownership through NFTs and on-chain token utility via ALTR, LGHT, and DRKN. These features are not yet active and will only be enabled when the project is ready and the public status pages confirm activation.
Faith and Purpose
Chosen Tides is made by a Christian creator. Its Light and Dark conflict is a game mechanic, not theological teaching, and playing does not make anyone a participant in any statement of belief.
Published separately from the game is a plainly labelled Christian statement of faith and invitation, the Agape Protocol. Reading it is entirely voluntary and changes nothing about gameplay, packs, or pricing.
