By downloading, accessing, or using Chosen Tides (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to update it as needed. You may not share your account with others or transfer your account to another person. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms. All intellectual property rights in the Service, including card artwork, game mechanics, names, and software, remain with Chosen Tides and its licensors.
All content within the Service — including card designs, artwork, animations, music, sound effects, text, logos, and software — is owned by or licensed to Chosen Tides and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use any content from the Service outside of the Service without our express written permission. User-generated content (such as deck names) remains your property, but you grant us a license to display it within the Service.
You agree not to: (a) cheat, hack, or use unauthorized software to gain an unfair advantage; (b) exploit bugs or glitches for personal gain; (c) harass, threaten, or abuse other players; (d) use offensive, hateful, or inappropriate language in display names or deck names; (e) attempt to disrupt or overload the Service; (f) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application; (g) use the Service for any illegal purpose; (h) create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions; or (i) sell, trade, or transfer accounts or in-game items for real-world currency outside of officially sanctioned channels.
The Service includes virtual currencies (Holy Shards, Evil Shards, Altar Crystals) and virtual items (cards, packs). These virtual currencies and items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other currency. They are licensed to you for use within the Service only. We may adjust currency balances, item availability, or game economy parameters at our discretion to maintain game balance. Virtual currencies and items are non-refundable except where required by law.
Optional in-app purchases are available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. All purchases are subject to the terms and refund policies of the respective platform. We do not process payments directly and do not store your payment information. Items purchased are delivered to your account and are non-transferable. If you experience an issue with a purchase, contact the platform store for assistance.
Chosen Tides may offer optional blockchain collectible features in a future update. These features are currently disabled. Blockchain collectibles are optional future functionality. No blockchain, wallet, token, or NFT functionality is available in the current version. The game is fully playable without any blockchain features. If blockchain features are introduced in the future, they will be governed by additional terms and will require your explicit consent. We do not guarantee that any digital collectible will have real-world value or be tradable.
All gameplay is server-authoritative. Match outcomes, card generation, and reward distribution are determined by our servers. We reserve the right to adjust game balance, card statistics, match scoring, and reward values without notice. We may take action against accounts that violate fair play rules, including temporary suspension or permanent termination of access.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chosen Tides shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, virtual currency, or virtual items arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time through the in-app feedback system. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your virtual currencies and items may be forfeited without compensation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
